Owen Opens the Bargates Hall Foodbank

Owen was in Whitchurch recently to open the Foodbank at Bargates Hall. Initiated by “Churches Together in Whitchurch” the Foodbank is operated entirely by volunteers.

Owen Attends Local Businesses Breakfast

Owen spoke at a well-attended business breakfast at Tern Hill Hall Hotel on 6th September; a large group of local businesses were represented and issue were raised including business rates, banks, employment and tax. 

Owen Opens the Newlife Store in Market Drayton

Owen was in Market Drayton recently to open the Newlife Store. The Newlife Foundation is a national charity which provides support to disabled and terminally ill children and their families in the form of medical research, equipment and loans. Their unique recycling company, Newlife Trading Ltd, sells discounted goods recycled from 200 major retailers all over the country, providing about £3 million of profit to the charity.

Prees Cricket and Recreation Club Receives Grant from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund

 “I am delighted that Prees Cricket and Recreation Club has received £49,900 from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund. This award is the result of a great deal of hard work and commitment to produce a successful bid by the local community and Club members. I am sure that the improved pitch will provide a major asset to the village and surrounding area.”
