On Friday Owen went to Whithcurch to visit Sir John Talbot's School. In this picture Owen is meeting A Level student Sarah Valentine with Headmaster David O'Toole. Sarah is studying Product Design and designed a Model Chair which she showed Mr Paterson.

Thoughts on Scottish Independence

As the campaign for an independent Scotland nears its end and voters prepare to make the momentous decision on whether or not the UK is better together, industry experts have forecast the potential damage to both Scotland and the UK if four centuries of the union are broken up.  I firmly believe that Scotland can remain a strong and proud nation whilst benefiting from the opportunities of being part of a greater United Kingdom.

Owen Opens Oswalds Trail with the Oswestry Ramblers

The trail which was opened to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Oswestry Ramblers  begins   at Oswestry bus station.  A clockwise route links local paths and important trails such as Offa’s Dyke and Watts Dyke and carries walkers to Morda, the Llanforda estate, the Old Racecourse, Lower Hengoed and Oswestry Hill fort along its route.

Owen Opens a Section of the Montgomery Canal

Owen Paterson MP for North Shropshire has today (19th July) officially opened a section of the Montgomery Canal in Redwith, Shropshire, which has been filled with water for the first time in almost 80 years.
